Spotify Wrapped Rings in The Christmas Season

Spotify Wrapped is somewhat of a holiday tradition for me. In 2016, Spotify introduced a feature that would “wrap-up” a person’s top 100 songs over the course of the year into a playlist. Many people will share their playlists and their top artist highlights through social media. Artists can also see stats for their music as well.

I think that Spotify Wrapped highlights how social media brings us together. Seeing everyone exchange their playlists and thank musicians for great music feels like exchanging gifts with friends. My friends and I have been listening to each other’s playlists and predicting what will be on next year’s playlist all week.
